My name is Heather and I have been photographing professionally in Asheville, NC for the past 10yrs. I photograph weddings, families, branding for businesses and have a special love for boudoir photography. To be able to create something meaningful for clients, something that they can treasure and emotionally look back on for years to come brings so much fulfillment to what I do. I love my job!

 

My interest for photography started in high school. I got my first film camera and loved wandering in the woods, capturing nature and anything that caught my eye. I soon went on to attend the International Academy of Design-Tampa, FL where I received my AS Degree in Professional Digital Photography. It was there that I found my love for photographing people and learned portraiture with different lighting techniques. After college I returned to the mountains to start my own business as HHphotography. The majority of my sessions take place outdoors at one of the many beautiful locations these mountains share! I also have a private studio in Leicester that provides studio lighting and a comfortable space/setup for my boudoir sessions. 

 

When I am not shooting, I enjoying staying active and being outdoors...hiking, gardening, camping or floating down the river on our tandem kayak. I want to travel EVERYWHERE, I feel traveling is one of the best educators in life. Sunshine and a good tan make me happy. Along with my best bud Reggie(our rescue pup) and my guy of 8yrs now. I am the crazy plant lady. Coffee is life. I love cooking but could settle with a cheese board and nice glass of wine anytime :) ! I'm mostly a homebody but cherish time well spent with the people that mean the most to me.
